Hi Diego – Thank you for your question. Downloading the data from the State Profiles is a functionality planned for the future.  You might want to subscribe to receive website updates so you know when this happens. Simply go to the bottom of any page on USAspending.gov and Sign Up.

Also, please note that the data on USAspending.gov is obligation data (what the agencies have promised to pay out for a particular award); it is not bottom-line spending data. We're in the process of researching the possibility for adding spending/payment data.

Having said that you can get state and agency data – it will just take a couple of steps and some sorting and filtering of files. If you want data by Recipient Location (entities with headquarters in a state), you can use the Custom Award Download https://www.usaspending.gov/#/download_center/custom_award_data. Select Prime Award, the Award Types, All for Agencies, the United States, All for States, and the Fiscal Year. You can then sort and filter the download.

If you're more interested in the Place of Performance data (where the work is performed) you can use the Advanced Search. https://www.usaspending.gov/#/search  Select the Fiscal Year, the Award Types, Location, with the Place of Performance tab, United States, and the State. You can add more than one state at a time by selecting the state then clicking on Add Filter. To see data for a specific Fiscal Year, be sure to download the Transaction file. When you’ve downloaded your results, you can then filter and sort by state.  Please be aware that the Download button will gray out when there are more than 500,000 transactions for your filters. You can also download each state individually. Either way, the downloads will include awards by all the agencies.

The other way to get this data is to use the Award Data Archives. https://www.usaspending.gov/#/download_center/award_data_archive  Select the Fiscal Year and  download the Full files for Contracts and Financial Assistance. You will get a zip file with multiple .csv files. You will then have to pull out the data by state.

Please let us know if you have additional questions or comments.
